There is a time for departure, even when there is no certain destination.

What I Do.

CBT is a short-term psychotherapy that takes a collaborative, practical approach to problem solving.  The goal is to change patterns of thinking or behavior that are no longer useful, and thus change how we feel.  It is used to treat a wide range of issues from anxiety and depression to relationship, health or work problems.

Importantly, CBT has been shown to work in hundreds of scientific studies involving thousands of participants.

CBT uses a variety of cognitive and behavioral techniques, while integrating other psychotherapy models including Mindfulness, Solution-Focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Positive Psychology.

  • Validated empirically and based on evidence
  • Short term
  • Focused on the present
  • Centered on your goals

Rapid Resolution Therapy

Rapid Resolution Therapy eliminates the negative emotional or behavioral influence of traumatic events, whether these experiences are remembered, repressed or forgotten.  Unlike other forms of treatment, with Rapid Resolution it is not necessary to relive past events or experience any pain. There are dramatic improvements in thoughts, feelings and behavior.

We don’t exist in a vacuum and therapy doesn’t need to either.  Some clients find their therapy enhanced by doing other types of healing; whether acupuncture, body or energy work, nutritional consultation, exercise, conventional and/or alternative medicine.  I welcome collaboration.

Triple-P-Positive Parenting Program

The Triple-P-Positive Parenting Program is one of the world’s most effective parenting programs.

It gives parents the skills they need to raise confident, healthy children and teenagers and to build stronger family relationships.  It also helps parents manage misbehavior and prevent problems occurring in the first place.

With more than 30 years of ongoing research, Triple P has been scientifically trialled with thousands of families around the world and been found to work for most families within a wide variety of cultures, countries and individual situations.  Triple P has helped more than four million children and their families in 25 countries around the world.
